چکیده

Free radicals and oxygen meatabolites by xenobiotics were studied. Reactive intermediates detoxification may be due to the hydrolysis, glutathione conjugation, or interactions with cellular antioxidants. When DNA is modified in biological systems or when isolated DNA, nucleosides, and nucleotides are reacted with the xenobiotic or its metabolites. Free radicals biotransformation was considered. Many chemicals, reactive metabolites formed during bioactivation may be detoxified efficiently.

Stereospecific Biotransformation of (±) Phenylethyl Propionate by Cell Cultures of Peganum harmala L.

The enzymatic potential of the cultured plant cells can be employed for bioconversion purposes. Plant enzymes are able to catalyze regio- and stereo-specific reactions, and therefore can be applied for the production of desired substances. The biotransformation of foreign substrates with suspension cells of Peganum harmala was tested with (±) phenylethyl propionate. The callus cultures of Pegan...

In vitro biotransformation rates in fish liver S9: effect of dosing techniques.

In vitro biotransformation assays are currently being explored to improve estimates of bioconcentration factors of potentially bioaccumulative organic chemicals in fish. The present study compares thin-film and solvent-delivery dosing techniques as well as single versus multiple chemical dosing for measuring biotransformation rates of selected polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in rainbow trout (...

In Vivo Biotransformation Rates of Organic Chemicals in Fish: Relationship with Bioconcentration and Biomagnification Factors.

In vivo dietary bioaccumulation experiments for 85 hydrophobic organic substances were conducted to derive the in vivo gastrointestinal biotransformation rates, somatic biotransformation rates, bioconcentration factors (BCF), and biomagnification factors (BMF) for improving methods for bioaccumulation assessment and to develop an in vivo biotransformation rate database for QSAR development and ...

Protective Effect of Tagetes Erecta Flower Extract against Mercuric Chloride Induced Hepatic Toxicity in Rattus Norvegicus

Heavy metal poisoning is a serious threat in the world of industrialization as almost all the industries use heavy metals in one or the other way. These heavy metals do harm to vitals such as liver, kidney, lung and blood. Liver is the site of biotransformation of xenobiotic substances. Liver is thus the most affected affected organs of the body. The present study highlights toxic stress of mer...

Glutathione S-transferases Detoxify Endogenous and Exogenous Toxic Agents- Minireview

The biotransformation of foreign substances (xenobiotic) including drugs in the body is divided into phase I, II and III. But phase II enzymes are playing a key role in the biotransformation of endogenous compounds and xenobiotics to easily excretable forms and also the metabolic inactivation of pharmacologically active substances. The phase II enzymes can perform biotransformation through conj...
